Understanding your goals

A strategy is a plan of action designed to achieve a particular goal. It is critical that we develop with our customers an agreed strategy of where they want to go and why. Every customer has specific goals that they hope to achieve dependent on the personal preferences, business objectives, and attributes of the organisation concerned. Our aim is the development of a strategy which not only prioritises quick wins but also sets longer term goals.

Some organisations are focused on protecting their business from rapidly rising energy costs, or they might want to take advantage of new incentives for renewable energy. Many will need to address their corporate responsibility commitments to employees, shareholders and customers which may mean keeping in step with Government targets for a 34% reduction in emissions by 2020.

For larger customers and corporate clients we can develop a strategy to meet their contractual responsibilities as we are with Carillion, enabling them to deliver a large portfolio of low carbon schools under the Building Schools for the Future programme, within the context of a rapidly changing energy market framework.

We start with understanding your objectives and concerns. We will audit your energy use, how effectively you purchase, and options for reducing energy use or employing renewables. Larger projects within a strategy might need a detailed feasibility study exploring different technical and commercial options to maximise benefit.

Your financial strategy

A key issue for a strategy is how an organisation wants to finance investment. Does your organisation want to own any new assets, and all associated risks and costs, or does it want someone else to finance any investment, and take on managing risks and costs, but share the benefits? We can help think you through these issues. If you want someone else to invest, we can provide that investment.
